Today’s route is in the northeast of Essex. The day’s themes are picturesque villages, windmills and quiet lanes lined with rare wildflowers. It is a 38 mile (62km) circular route with a total ascent of 243 meters. It is mainly along country lanes, although there are some short sections of B roads.
